The department manages 39 facilities including recreation centers senior centers and indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities and provides thousands of programs such as out-of-school activities aquatics classes youth and adult sports programs and leagues senior programs and therapeutic recreation.

Montgomery County Recreation is looking for an energetic highly motivated entry-level Teen Works!



What Youll Be Doing

As a Teen Works you will:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by looking up and sharing accurate information.
  • Assists with supervision of participants in school-based or recreation center-based programs or activities.
  • Set up and break down equipment.
  • Monitor activities and ensure a clean safe and supportive environment.
  • Lead recreation activities.
  • Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting during programs or activities.
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing of facility or program.
  • Learn something new EVERY DAY!

To be a successfulTeen Works you MUST:

  • Be at least 15 years of age.
  • Be able to follow directions.
The hourly rate for this SEASONAL/TEMPORARY position is $18.00!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: Some work experience leading or instructing a recreation or related activity.
  • Education: Ability to read and write.
  • Equivalency: None.
