Technology Teacher (PLTW – Project Lead The Way)

A Technology Teacher responsible for teaching Project Lead The Way (PLTW) courses provides engaging hands-on instruction that develops students skills in engineering computer science design and technology. The teacher fosters innovation critical thinking problem-solving collaboration and real-world application of STEM concepts.

• Deliver PLTW curriculum aligned with program requirements and learning standards.
• Design and facilitate project-based learning experiences that promote student engagement and inquiry.
• Teach concepts related to engineering design computer science automation robotics and emerging technologies as applicable.
• Integrate technology tools software and equipment into daily instruction.
• Assess student learning through projects presentations performance tasks and other formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain a safe organized and productive laboratory/classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues counselors administrators and industry partners to support student success.
• Encourage creativity teamwork communication and career readiness skills.
• Participate in PLTW professional development and maintain program certification requirements.

• Valid teaching certification in Technology Education STEM Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of PLTW curriculum and project-based learning methodologies.
• Experience using engineering design processes coding platforms robotics systems and other technology-related tools.
• Strong classroom management communication and organizational skills.
