Position Overview:

Freddie Mac is seeking an experienced Technology Risk Management - Senior PMO and Operations Lead to lead and scale the operational engine supporting execution of the 2nd Line Technology Risk (TRM) oversight program. This role provides end-to-end operational leadership across oversight planning regulatory readiness reporting and cross-domain coordination operating in a high-demand environment that blends structured execution with ongoing ad hoc requests from executive and regulatory stakeholders.

A key focus is establishing a disciplined work intake and demand management model to bring structure prioritization and transparency to a high-volume request environment. This role also elevates how complex risk topics are communicated through executive-ready materials (e.g. PowerPoint) that translate data into decision-oriented insights. This leadership role runs a complex operations function that enables TRM leadership to focus on enterprise strategy cross-domain integration and evolution of risk oversight.

As part of Freddie Macs Enterprise Risk (ER) organization Technology Risk Management (TRM) drives consistency transparency and effectiveness in nonfinancial risk oversight across multiple domains including AI Cyber Data Resiliency and Technology Risk.

TRM integrates:

  • Oversight planning and execution aligned to risk appetite

  • Risk and control evaluation across domains

  • Executive and regulatory reporting (including CRO and FHFA deliverables)

  • Cross-domain coordination and escalation management

The TRM Operations function serves as the central coordination and execution layer ensuring that oversight activities are:

  • Aligned to enterprise priorities Delivered consistently and on time Supported by accurate decision-ready outputs and Executed in a scalable and repeatable manner

Your Impact:

1. Lead the TRM Operations Engine

  • Own delivery of core operational services: reporting (CRO/FHFA) planning and cross-domain coordination

  • Ensure consistent high-quality execution across recurring cycles and ad hoc demand

2. Lead PMO Team Execution and Development

  • Manage and develop resilient TRM Operations team capable of independent execution

  • Set clear priorities roles and performance expectations

3. Drive Planning Capacity and Execution Management

  • Lead annual and quarterly planning aligned to strategy priorities and capacity

  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and performance insights

  • Bring structure and transparency to a high-volume multi-source work-intake environment

  • Balance competing priorities across oversight plans executive requests and regulatory demands

4. Ensure Executive & Regulatory Readiness

  • Own operational readiness for CRO reporting and FHFA engagement cycles

  • Proactively manage delivery risks and cross-team dependencies and timely material preparation

5. Executive Communication & Strategic Messaging

  • Develop executive-ready materials (PowerPoint briefings) translating complexity into decisions

  • Integrate inputs from multiple stakeholders into clear cohesive narratives

  • Elevate consistency and clarity of messaging across leadership forums

Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in program management or compliance/risk management operations within a complex regulated environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-volume multi-threaded execution environments

  • Experience designing and implementing work intake prioritization or demand management models

  • Strong experience supporting executive and/or regulatory reporting cycles

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing talent

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and executive communications with demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear narratives

  • Experience with planning and workflow tools (e.g. Jira SharePoint reporting tools)

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across senior leadership and cross-functional teams

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $166000 - $248000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
