Job Summary
Position: Technology Infrastructure Manager
Location: AMC Headquarters Boston MA
Supervisor: Vice President of Operations
Summary Description: Based at AMCs Boston headquarters the Technology Infrastructure Manager is an integral and key part of day-to-day operations. With 12 physical locations requiring phone network access and security application and internet connectivity the Technology Infrastructure Manager (TIM) has a critical role in AMCs productivity and success as an organization. The TIM partners with leaders and employees across the organization and in all locations.
Current priorities include:
- Ensuring hardware requirements are ready for a 2019 website launch
- Completing the upgrade of the Mitel phone system
- Coordinating the training for key facets of IT tools (phone voice mail O365 web conferencing best practices in security and data management etc.)
- Managing the SharePoint to Office 365 migration including developing standards for storage access naming training etc.
- Upgrading network switches
- Transitioning of local file server to the cloud thinking about standards for storage access archiving etc.
- Complete cost benefit analysis of data communication providers pinpointing reasons for slowdowns and crashes
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management and support of network application database cloud services and telecommunications infrastructure in a distributed environment including upgrades provisioning performance and availability monitoring and security
- Ensure underlying hardware and IT architecture supports employee productivity and the AMC online constituent experience
- Direct oversight of IT team and development of technology training plans
- Develop technology training plans for employees

- Project management:
- Work with AMC Leadership and key business stakeholders to develop and prioritize creative and cost-effective IT strategies
- Simultaneously lead multiple complex projects with varied deliverables team members and audiences
- Gather and analyze inputs that influence requirements
- Write and propose system requirements system test plans and test cases
- Communicate accurate and timely project updates including critical paths dependencies milestones resources cost work structures etc.
- Ensure workflow progresses efficiently and projects/staff are organized as priorities shift
- Manage resources that may not report directly to the ITPM who will have other competing responsibilities
- Determine readiness for each stage of implementation
- Develop and manage operational and capital budgets for IT
- Implement a regular IT services satisfaction survey and complete SWOT analysis
- Stay current on technology trends and opportunities in our core membership fundraising hospitality programming and advocacy areas.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology Project Management or equivalent experience
- 2 years of IT Project Management experience
- 4 years of desktop and server support experience
- 2 years of experience in security intrusion prevention and data protection
- 2 years of telecommunications systems management experience
- 2 years of experience with cloud infrastructure scaling & maintenance
- Expert knowledge of the Office 365 environment including SharePoint and related storage sharing and communication tools
- Organized and structured approach to work yet flexible when meeting client requirements
- Enthusiasm to solve business problems
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand business objectives and translate them into technology requirements
- Preferred:
- Proficiency with MS Project Visio or similar project management tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certifications
- Non-profit industry experience
