We are looking for a highly motivated Technician II Sub-Assembly to join our team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled electro-mechanical technician who is passionate about building impactful technology and contributing to meaningful change in the world.
This opportunity is an onsite full-time 9-month contracting position based in our Fremont CA office.
How Youll Contribute
- Build assemble install and test complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies fixtures and equipment using hand and power tools
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across subsystems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and drive design or process improvements
- Redline assembly and test instructions
- Support quality and manufacturing engineering teams on production issues and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications Skills Knowledge & Abilities
- AA/AS in engineering physics or a related field preferred and 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly
- Hands-on experience assembling testing or troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems instruments or production equipment
- Experience building wiring harnesses from engineering documentation including interpreting schematics wire lists assembly drawings and work instructions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics (via PDM viewers PDFs etc.)
- Skilled in using hand tools and diagnostic instruments including calipers torque drivers wire crimpers multimeters and more
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision assembly
- Proactive dependable and committed to high-quality work with a positive attitude curiosity and eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods pull lift/move/carry up to 30 lbs and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and close visual focus
This contracting position offers an hourly pay rate between $27/hour and $30/hour and your actual base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
