Technical Writer & Compliance Analyst

Link Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer & Compliance Analyst to join our team in Adelphi MD.

The Technical Writer & Compliance Analyst will support the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Information Technology Modernization and Support Services program by developing technical documentation compliance artifacts operational procedures and program reporting that enable secure and efficient enterprise IT operations.

Working closely with engineers cybersecurity professionals and Government stakeholders you will help ensure documentation accuracy regulatory compliance and process consistency across a mission-critical research environment. This role offers the opportunity to support Army technology modernization and advanced research initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses experience in technical writing documentation management compliance analysis and process improvement within complex enterprise IT federal or Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop edit review and maintain technical documentation standard operating procedures (SOPs) work instructions user guides and operational manuals.
• Create and maintain cybersecurity compliance documentation accreditation artifacts policies procedures and governance records.
• Support documentation and compliance activities associated with RMF NIST DoD and organizational frameworks.
• Prepare reports presentations executive summaries meeting minutes and status briefings for Government stakeholders.
• Coordinate documentation reviews and approvals across technical teams project managers and Government personnel.
• Maintain document repositories configuration-controlled records and knowledge management resources.
• Ensure documentation accuracy consistency quality and compliance with organizational standards.
• Support audits inspections assessments compliance reporting and corrective action activities.
• Analyze technical and business requirements and translate complex concepts into clear concise documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers cybersecurity personnel and technical teams to document system changes modernization initiatives and technical solutions.
• Support process improvement governance risk management quality assurance and records management activities.
• Develop and maintain documentation supporting enterprise IT cloud technologies cybersecurity programs and modernization efforts.

Compensation Range:

• $90000 - $100000 yearly
• Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

Several factors influence final compensation including relevant experience technical expertise certifications education and government rate.

Qualifications :

• U.S. Citizen.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Seven (7) years of experience in technical writing compliance management documentation development program support business analysis or related disciplines.
•  Bachelors degree in Technical Writing English Communications Information Technology Information Systems Business Administration Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Experience developing technical documentation SOPs operational procedures reports and compliance artifacts.
• Experience supporting enterprise IT cybersecurity engineering or Government programs.
• Experience conducting document reviews requirements analysis quality assurance and records management activities.
• Knowledge of technical writing methodologies documentation standards and best practices.
• Experience supporting governance compliance process improvement or operational management initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Visio and SharePoint.
• Excellent written editing proofreading and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government environments.
• Experience supporting RMF NIST cybersecurity compliance accreditation or audit activities.
• Experience with SharePoint administration knowledge management or document repository management.
• Experience supporting IT modernization cloud cybersecurity or enterprise infrastructure programs.
• Familiarity with ITIL Agile DevSecOps or project management methodologies.
• Experience supporting scientific engineering research or laboratory environments.
• Experience preparing executive-level briefings reports and communications.
• Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting audits inspections compliance reviews and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
