Position Summary
The Technical Solutions Manager Delivery Systems operates in collaboration with the commercial & R&D teams and serves as the primary technical sales interface for customers during the pre-execution phase of the product lifecycle. Operating within an assigned portfolio the Technical Solutions Manager Delivery Systems translates complex customer design manufacturing and program level requirements into robust technical proposals. This position manages new programs during the proposal phase through project award and internal execution leading efforts with the customer until it is seamlessly handed off to a dedicated Project Manager. The Technical Solutions Manager Delivery Systems position requires technical competency in manufacturing and/or materials science combined with exceptional customer-facing communication skills.
This is an onsite position in Fridley MN with approximately 25% domestic and international travel.
What Youll Do Every Day:
- Act as the quote director for the internal Medevio team on new prototype and non-standard quotes
- Partner directly with customer technical teams to dissect product and project requirements and translate them into actionable engineering requirements and comprehensive technical proposals.
- Act as the Voice of Customer to translate the customers device roadmap product strategy technology regulatory strategy and business model to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal Commercial R&D and Operations teams to evaluate design feasibility technical capability fit and project viability before proposal finalization.
- Lead the initial project kickoff phase immediately following proposal acceptance serving as the temporary project leader until a formal Project Manager is assigned to ensure a flawless handoff.
- Manage inbound technical inquiries and leads ensuring timely and accurate screening against operational capabilities.
- Expand customer knowledge of Heraeus capabilities and products by partnering with marketing to develop technical lunch and learns webinars demos and other key marketing materials to promote our capabilities.
- Engage and build relationships with our customers technical experts.
- Continuously expand industry knowledge within a specific portfolio by attending conferences and through independent research.
- Follow established sales processes.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering Materials Science or related field required; an MBA or Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant progressive experience in engineering and/or engineering project management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex technical projects utilizing structured project management methodologies to track timelines and deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts directly to customers.
- Experience working within a regulated industry (medical device manufacturing preferred but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of Delivery Systems strongly preferred
- Experience with the development of medical devices preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Highly accountable for personal performance to affect sales goal achievement
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% including international travel.
- Fluent English communication skills written and oral
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $110000 and $130000 based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account including but not limited to candidate qualifications geographic locations market conditions and internal position is bonus eligible with a target bonus of 15%.Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical dental and vision coverage a 401(k) plan with company match education reimbursement paid parental leave and paid time off.
