Job Summary

The Technical Services Engineer takes ownership of customer issues reported and sees problems through to resolution. The incumbent researches diagnoses troubleshoots and identifies solutions to resolves issue by following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical information and identities technical opportunities.
  • Provides technical analysis of customer complaints.
  • Provides advice council and recommendations on all matters pertaining to the technical aspects of the Companys activities.
  • Investigates customer issues using problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma methodology to get at root cause of the challenging and complex issues internally and externally.
  • Provides feedback to R&D for new product development opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related technical degree.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Hands on experience in specification and design of plastics tooling equipment and automation.
  • Previous project management experience.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
  • Exposure to machine noise.
  • Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
  • Working conditions are normal for a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
  • Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses hearing protectors and work boots.
  • This role may require walking in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
