Description

The rapid growth in semiconductor markets across the world presents unprecedented challenges and opportunities in manufacturing supply chain and quality. New frameworks and approaches are required to ensure competitiveness. To that end the Operations Product Development team drives technology business process and strategic innovation supporting Applied Materials Global Operations.

Were looking for a highly technical Product Manager with a strong foundation in software engineering and data-oriented development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shaping product strategy and getting deep into technical detailssomeone who can partner with engineering understand the architecture and translate business needs into scalable efficient solutions.

This TPM will work closely with backend engineers data engineers and business stakeholders to define and deliver products built primarily in Python leveraging FastAPI Polars and SQLAlchemy.

Responsibilities

Product

• Translate business goals and customer needs into technical product requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering to design scalable APIs accurate data pipelines and reliable backend systems.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs and influence architecture decisions.

Technical

• Develop systems with agile development methodologies and principles
• Participate in planning design development and implementation for multiple initiatives
• Understand and augment the system and application architecture as needed
• Continuous integration and deployment of code
• Write secure reliable testable readable code
• Create frontend Application using React
• Write and maintain APIs and backend services
• Maintain and support existing products and services

Desired Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in python programming
• 2 Years of experience in building REST APIs
• Hands-On experience testing debugging and troubleshooting REST APIs implemented using Python
• Experience in one or more messaging technologies JMS rabbitMQ SQS or AMQP
• Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with React performance testing and performance optimization (React profiler server-side rendering code splitting/lazy loading)
• Proficient in SQL Query Development Relational Database Design
• Understand and apply XML / JSON concepts
• Flexible with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and positive attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact with Developers and management.
• Comfortable working in real-time with other engineers in remote locations
• Preferred (primary) location is in Austin. Secondary location is Santa Clara CA

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.

For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
