As a Technical Manufacturing Trainer youll take your hands-on manufacturing experience and use it to help others build the skills they need to succeed. Youll train team members in areas such as welding fabrication mechanical assembly electrical systems high-voltage safety and HVAC/pre-conditioned air systems.
In this role you will:
Train and coach team members on technical manufacturing skills including welding fabrication assembly electrical and related production processes.
Turn your hands-on experience into practical training that team members can apply on the job.
Demonstrate the safe and proper use of manufacturing tools and equipment including welding equipment torque tools cranes measuring tools and testing devices.
Teach team members how to read and follow prints schematics weld symbols standard work instructions and other technical documentation.
Support training related to HVAC and pre-conditioned air systems including mechanical electrical and brazing processes.
Facilitate Level 1 and Level 2 high-voltage safety training.
Coach team members on quality expectations inspection techniques troubleshooting and identifying manufacturing discrepancies.
Create hands-on written online and LIVE manufacturing training.
Develop training aids props demonstrations and other creative learning tools that make technical concepts easier to understand.
Identify skill gaps through Training Needs and Task Analyses and develop solutions using the ADDIE training model.
Teach team members how to navigate manufacturing and technical systems such as JDE2 Pierce Truck Builder and ProPlanner.
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Publisher PowerPoint).
Partner with production employees subject matter experts other trainers and leadership to continuously improve training.
Help build a manufacturing culture focused on safety quality craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
Work a flexible schedule when needed to support team members across multiple shifts.
Ability to work unsupervised and with leadership remotely
CWI or willingness to obtain CWI
High school diploma or GED.
Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience in manufacturing welding fabrication assembly electrical HVAC or a related technical field.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
Ability to explain technical processes in a clear practical way.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation prints or work instructions.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A willingness to learn new products processes technologies and training methods.
Ability to travel up to 20%.

Training mentoring coaching or teaching others in a manufacturing or skilled-trades environment.
MIG or TIG welding of aluminum and steel including pulse-spray welding.
Mechanical or vehicle assembly.
HVAC refrigeration brazing or pre-conditioned air systems.
Electrical systems or high-voltage vehicle technology.
Reading weld prints symbols schematics blueprints or 3D models.
Developing technical training work instructions or hands-on learning activities.
Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Publisher.
Manufacturing software or digital work-instruction systems.
EPA Section 608 Certification or willingness to obtain it.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or willingness to obtain it.
Experience with Pierce products Pierce Truck Builder ProPlanner JDE2 or Volterra systems.
