Position Overview

This position is accountable for providing technical leadership and expertise in environmental compliance and risk management across the organization. This role serves as a subject matter expert on environmental regulations and requirements partnering with business units to develop implement and maintain programs that ensure compliance and support operational objectives. The role is traditionally corporate based working across business groups to establish environmental standards provide technical guidance and drive consistent implementation of environmental programs processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain environmental programs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal state and local regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to operations and business leaders regarding environmental requirements permitting monitoring reporting and risk management activities.
  • Internal subject matter expert (SME) for waste management (RCRA) spill planning (SPCC/FRP EAP EPCRA) and stormwater pollution prevention (SWP3) requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to the business while recommending solutions and best practices to maintain compliance.
  • Support environmental compliance through audits inspections monitoring activities investigations and corrective action planning.
  • Manage environmental recordkeeping reporting permits certifications and regulatory submissions.
  • Partner with field locations to support pollution prevention waste minimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead environmental projects and initiatives and provide coaching mentoring and technical direction to colleagues and business partners.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 6 years of environmental compliance environmental management or related EHS experience required.
