What will you be doing
- Hire structure and mentor the engineering team while setting and upholding high performance standards
- Scope and ship new products enabling researchers to leverage high-quality audio data and develop novel insights
- Build scalable data processing pipelines that extract actionable insights from terabytes of audio data daily
- Architect systems to 100 capacity for collecting curating and delivering data to leading speech model teams
- Partner with the CTO to drive technical direction and execute against an ambitious product roadmap
Key Requirements
- 6 years of product-focused engineering experience with strong web development fundamentals
- Experience leading technical teams through rapid growth phases at high-growth startups or scale-ups
- Track record of shipping products from zero-to-one and scaling them in fast-paced environments
- Comfort solving ambiguous unsolved problems with tangible customer impact
- Bias towards action with detail-oriented execution; former founders or 2 years of EM experience a plus
Led engineering teams through rapid growth at high-growth startups
BS in Computer Science from Top 20 School
Strong full-stack web development ( TypeScript PostgreSQL)
5 - 10 years of experience in product-focused full-stack engineering
Shipped zero-to-one products end-to-end with data-intensive pipelines at scale
Track record of shipping user-facing product features not just backend systems
Experience building scalable data processing pipelines
2 years of engineering management experience
Former founder or early employee at a startup
Familiarity with AI/ML or audio/speech processing
Required Education:
Candidates should hold a CS or equivalent technical undergraduate degree from a TOP U.S. school
