Team Leader Emergency Department (RN)

As a Team Leader Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Deaconess Gibson youll provide hands-on clinical care while guiding and supporting the ED team through fast-paced high-acuity situations. Youll help stabilize treat and coordinate care for patients of all ages ensuring safe efficient flow and strong communication during some of their most critical moments.

In this leadership-focused role youll deliver direct patient care and oversee clinical operations during your shift including staffing assignments workflow coordination mentoring team members and ensuring patients and families receive clear education support and timely treatment.

• Lead and support ED staff during assigned shifts to maintain safe efficient patient flow

• Deliver skilled patient-centered care in a busy Emergency Department

• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition using strong clinical judgment

• Coordinate and supervise nursing care across the ED team

• Develop implement and evaluate individualized plans of care

• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely effective treatment

• Monitor documentation accuracy quality and safety metrics

• Assist with staffing assignments and workflow adjustments throughout the shift

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state

• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department RN experience

• Prior leadership or charge experience in a clinical setting

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
