Make ongoing observations of childrens development and maintain anecdotal records.

Assist lead teacher in utilizing the Teaching Strategies GOLD child outcomes Assessment Tool at each of three required checkpoints.

Assist teacher to complete assessments on individual children.

Carry out task assignments related to daily preparation of the classroom as per planned activities and learning objectives.

Ideal skills

  • Strong organizational and basic math skills.
  • Communication and language skills to comprehend documents and other correspondence.
  • Strong computer skills with basic knowledge of Excel Microsoft office and other office equipment such as copier scanner fax etc...
  • Ability to interact with customers from a variety of backgrounds and with different levels of management. Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

High School diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years related work experience. The Teaching Assistant position prefers a Child Development Associate (CDA).

The ideal candidate must have a drivers license meeting agency standards and consistent reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
