The Teacher of Students with Disabilities for Transition Services is responsible for the instructional program and implementation of activities for the students in the assigned classroom. Responsible for the coordination of the activities of the assigned Para-educator and support staff providing services for students in the assigned area. Responsible for coordinating/facilitating development and implementation of instructional materials in the GCI Career Pathways course which includes collaborating with Career Technical Education (CTE) instructional programs within the assigned area
- Bachelors Degree required; valid Michigan teachers certificate.
- Requires an endorsement in one or more areas of special education. Endorsement in Cognitive Impairments or Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience preferred.
- Two years of experience teaching special education transition-aged students preferred. Two years of work-based learning experience is preferred.
Pay Range:$48446 - $94537 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications
Work Schedule: 186 days / 7 hours daily
Paid Time Off:
- Sick and Personal Business paid time up to 13 days
- Bereavement Leave
