Job Summary
Under the direction of assigned administrators provides standards-based physical education instruction to elementary students at multiple school sites. Plans organizes and delivers developmentally appropriate instruction in movement fitness dance sportsmanship cooperation personal responsibility and healthy lifestyles using a variety of instructional strategies and resources. Assesses student progress maintains appropriate records and establishes a safe positive and inclusive learning environment through effective classroom management and instruction in safe movement and equipment practices. Organizes maintains and inventories instructional equipment and materials; collaborates with teachers administrators instructional assistants and other staff to support student learning and District instructional goals; establishes positive professional relationships with students families staff and the community; travels regularly between assigned school sites; and performs other related duties as assigned.
