Teacher Assistant (Full-Time) Job Description The Learning Experience
Position Title: Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)
Position Summary: The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role assists with implementing daily classroom activities supervising children maintaining classroom organization and promoting each childs social emotional physical and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
Support children with daily routines including meals diapering/toileting rest time and transitions.
Maintain a clean organized and welcoming classroom environment.
Foster positive relationships with children families and fellow team members.
Encourage childrens social emotional and academic growth through positive interactions.
Follow all state licensing regulations health and safety procedures and company policies.
Help prepare classroom materials and learning centers.
Participate in staff meetings trainings and professional development opportunities.
Communicate classroom needs and concerns to the Lead Teacher and management team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with young children
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for early childhood education and child development.
Must meet all state licensing requirements including background checks and required certifications.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand walk bend and actively engage with children throughout the day.
Ability to respond quickly to childrens needs and emergencies.
