Location: Chesapeake VA Hybrid. Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely while staying connected with our team through required weekly in-office collaboration. Candidates must be within commuting distance of Chesapeake.

Job Description

• Prepare and review individual corporate and partnership tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.
• Manage multiple tax engagements ensuring accuracy compliance and timely completion.
• Build strong client relationships and provide thoughtful tax guidance.
• Oversee general ledger accounting activities reconciliations and resolution of accounting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with partners and accounting professionals to coordinate workflow and deliver exceptional service.
• Stay current with evolving tax laws regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 5 years of public accounting tax experience.
• Active CPA or EA credential required.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Excellent client communication organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reviewing returns and managing multiple client engagements preferred.
• Nonprofit tax experience is a plus.
