Job Summary
TITLE: Airworthiness/System Safety Engineer
Duration: 6 months Contract to hire
Location: Pam Bay FL
Pay Range: $60-$65/hr on w2
Description
Working knowledge of the following standards:
DO-178 and DO-254 development processes
ARP4754/ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E
MIL-HDBK-516
USAF Airworthiness Circular 17-01 (AC-17-01)
Familiarity with reliability assessments such as FMEA FMECA FTA FRACAS and RCCA
Typical Tasks include
Generate System Safety Program Plans Hazard Analyses and Safety Assessment Reports IAW MIL-STD-882E
Consult with other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware software and operational performance requirements of the overall system
Work closely with Government customers to ensure that the System Safety requirements are defined and implemented in a way that will allow for the verification and validation of the system
Ability to internalize requirements definition and document System Safety artifacts in DOORS and/or Cameo
Present system safety risk assessment at Customer design review meetings
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Reporting hazardous materials (NAS-411)
Assessing Human Machine Interfaces (MIL-STD-1472)
