Systems Engineer III

RFA Engineering () is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate hybrid with a minimum of 3 days a week at our customers world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville IL.

Systems Engineer

This position will apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design development testing and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical systems engineer analyzes user needs and then designs tests and develops software to meet those needs.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering or relevant field required.
• 5 years of demonstrated work experience.
• Proven ability to work on production products through design implementation customer rollout and support.
• Ability to decompose complex customer requirements into achievable technical requirements for the systems that make up the product.
• Knowledge and experience with Autonomous Systems
• Experience with systems integration over CAN and Ethernet

• Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.

Pay Range: $90000-$110000 Commensurate with experience
