The Aerospace Corporation is hiring aSystems Engineer for Portfolio Integrationforthe Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity inEl Segundo CA.

The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospaces strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a wide-ranging and dynamic portfolio of programs customers and national challenges.EEDspans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS) the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integratesexpertise systemanalysisand design capabilities from across the corporation.To meet the increasing demand for our support we are looking for anexperiencedEnterprise Systems Engineertocontribute toavarietyofdefense intelligence community and civilgovernmentcustomers.

WhatYoullBe Doing

Strategic Impact

  • Provide support toenterprise architecture system-of-systems engineering and strategic planning that shapes portfolio-level missions and future landscapes

  • Develop portfolioandenterprise-level models and roadmaps that enable stakeholders to make informed data-driven decisions on complex cross-organizational challenges

  • Support the bridgebetweengovernment organizations internal strategic initiatives and commercial partners to create cohesive solutions to enterprise-level problems

  • Challenge the status quo and pioneer innovative approaches to mission-critical problems

Technical Excellence

  • Contribute tohigh-impact studies designed to solve complex technical challenges and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership and customers

  • Providesystemsengineeringsupportin portfolio management digital engineering andsystem-of-systems engineering across defense intelligence and civil government domains

  • Identifyand develop new capabilities and enhancements that advance customer programs and architectures

  • Work closely withAerospaces technical backplane to deliver tailoredcutting-edgesolutions for customer-specific use cases

Collaboration & Influence

  • Work closely with Aerospace program office personnel and government customers to execute strategic projects

  • Provide ongoing technical consultation and strategic advice toprogram officegovernment and contractors

  • What You Need to be Successful

MinimumRequirements for theSenior Member of the Technical Staff Enterprise Systems Engineering

  • Bachelors degree in engineering mathematics science or other related technical discipline

  • Typically4yearsofincreasingly responsibleexperienceinsystems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines

  • Experience in systems engineering enterprise systems engineering model-based systems engineering and/or digital engineering

  • Familiarwith MBSE modeling languagessuch as System Modeling Language(SysML)and toolssuch as Cameo Systems Modeler andSparXEnterprise Architecture

  • Experience with architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)

  • Take initiativehaveflexibilityandbe ableto work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellentinterpersonal skillsandwell adept at oral and written communication

  • Excellenttime managementand organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Available and willing to travel domesticallyapprox. 5-10%

  • ActiveTS//SCI security clearance

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if youhaveone or more of these:

  • Advanced degree in engineering mathematics science or other related technical discipline

  • Experienceand familiarityin the systems engineeringlife cycle

  • Experience in strategicroadmapping integrated planning and/orintegrated master schedules

  • Experience withDoDsystems engineering and programmatic processes methods tools and personnel

  • Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; costscheduleand risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development

  • Experience with and/or working knowledge of the Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) span of technical capabilities and organizational construct

  • Experience briefing senior Government leaders (General Officer and/or SES/SIS)

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge and skills.
