Job Summary
The Opportunity
Join a team supporting mission-critical enterprise IT systems and services. CACI is seeking Systems Administrators at the Journeyman Senior and Subject Matter Expert (SME) levels to provide systems administration desktop support infrastructure management application support network operations and IT Service Management (ITSM) support across complex enterprise environments.
In this role you will help maintain the availability reliability and performance of systems and services supporting users across domestic and global operations. You will work alongside technical teams Government stakeholders and mission partners to troubleshoot complex issues manage incidents and service requests support infrastructure and applications implement changes and continuously improve the end-user experience.
Candidates may be considered for multiple levels based on their years of experience technical expertise leadership capabilities and ability to independently manage increasingly complex assignments.
Responsibilities
Support Total Ticket Ownership (TTO) throughout the incident and service request lifecycle including ticket logging triage troubleshooting resolution escalation documentation and root cause analysis.
Provide desktop and end-user systems support troubleshooting hardware software operating system connectivity account and peripheral issues within an enterprise environment.
Manage and support Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and provide limited technical support for approved mobile devices.
Perform systems and infrastructure administration supporting domestic and enterprise operations including workstation peripheral card printer consular office system and web services infrastructure.
Install configure deploy maintain and troubleshoot enterprise applications and services.
Support collaboration platforms and other enterprise tools used across geographically dispersed environments.
Perform network operations activities supporting reliable enterprise connectivity availability and performance.
Monitor troubleshoot and resolve systems infrastructure application and network-related incidents in coordination with appropriate technical teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and improve Ticket Management System configurations workflows classifications and processes.
Support and enhance self-service and self-help capabilities including password resets account provisioning hardware and software requests troubleshooting resources and knowledge management content.
Participate in Problem Management and root cause analysis identifying recurring issues documenting findings tracking corrective actions and recommending long-term solutions.
Support Change Management activities by initiating documenting reviewing tracking and implementing approved changes to IT systems services applications and infrastructure.
Assist with impact analysis risk assessment implementation planning validation and post-implementation reviews for technical changes.
Maintain accurate system incident problem change configuration and operational documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve hardware software workflows processes procedures automation and overall service delivery.
Collaborate with Government stakeholders Product Teams engineering teams service desk personnel network teams and other technical organizations to resolve issues and support enterprise objectives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation knowledge articles standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Apply ITSM principles and established policies procedures security requirements and technical standards to day-to-day operations.
Perform additional systems administration and enterprise IT support activities as required to meet mission and operational requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
Candidates will be considered at the appropriate level based on demonstrated experience and technical expertise.
All levels require a Secret security clearance
Journeyman Systems Administrator
3 years of relevant experience in systems administration enterprise IT support desktop support infrastructure operations network operations or a related technical discipline.
Experience troubleshooting hardware software operating systems applications peripherals user accounts and connectivity issues.
Experience working with an enterprise ticketing or IT Service Management platform.
Experience supporting incident and service request management processes.
Experience installing configuring deploying maintaining or troubleshooting enterprise applications and systems.
Working knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and infrastructure.
Ability to apply established technical concepts processes practices and procedures to resolve technical assignments.
Ability to escalate complex technical issues and collaborate effectively with senior administrators engineers and other technical teams.
Strong documentation communication customer service and problem-solving skills.
Senior Systems Administrator
In addition to the qualifications above:
5-7 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience independently administering and troubleshooting complex enterprise IT environments.
Advanced experience with systems administration desktop support infrastructure operations application support and/or network operations.
Experience coordinating incident resolution and performing root cause analysis for complex or recurring technical issues.
Experience supporting Tier II/Tier III technical issues and collaborating across multiple technical teams to drive incidents through resolution.
Experience with Problem Management Change Management and other ITSM processes.
Ability to analyze trends identify systemic issues and recommend technical or procedural improvements.
Experience developing or maintaining technical workflows knowledge management resources system documentation and standard operating procedures.
Ability to independently manage multiple complex technical assignments with appreciable latitude in determining methodology and solutions.
Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
SME Systems Administrator
In addition to the Journeyman and Senior qualifications:
10 years of relevant experience
Extensive experience administering and supporting large-scale complex enterprise IT environments.
Expert-level knowledge across multiple areas of systems administration infrastructure operations application support network operations and IT service management.
Demonstrated ability to lead resolution of high-impact high-priority or technically complex incidents and problems.
Experience leading root cause analysis Problem Management Change Management and continuous service improvement efforts across multiple technical teams.
Ability to evaluate proposed system and infrastructure changes including technical impact operational risk dependencies implementation requirements and post-implementation results.
Experience developing technical strategies standards workflows processes and recommendations that improve enterprise service delivery.
Ability to serve as a technical authority and provide guidance to Government stakeholders technical teams and program leadership.
Demonstrated experience planning and leading major technical assignments and coordinating activities across multiple projects teams or functional areas.
Ability to mentor and provide technical direction to Systems Administrators and other technical personnel.
Demonstrated ability to identify complex technical challenges develop solutions with limited direction and communicate recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
