Job Summary
I. Purpose
The Systems Administrator ensures the reliability security and performance of ASHAs technology infrastructure enabling staff to effectively advance the Associations mission. This role administers enterprise systems and cloud services safeguards organizational data and continuously improves technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency service delivery and the user experience.
II. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support server infrastructure Monitor enterprise technology environments proactively identify risks or performance issues and implement improvements to ensure system availability reliability and long-term sustainability
- Administer user identity and access management including account provisioning rights management and file-level permissions across on-premises and cloud-based environmentsJM1.1JR1.2.
- Provide advanced technical support by diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure systems and application issues while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Manage endpoint devices including device provisioning configuration compliance enforcement lifecycle management and delivery of system updates and patches to ensure endpoints remain current and secure.
- Support enterprise data protection and compliance including data classification information protection and governance policies.
- Maintain and support enterprise-wide systems including communications backup and recovery platforms and endpoint protection/antivirus solutions to support business continuity and operational resilience.
- Evaluate recommend and implement improvements to technology solutions including automation and emerging technologies such as AI tools to increase efficiency strengthen security and enhance the user experience.
- Plan prioritize and execute operational initiatives and technology projects in alignment with Information Systems standards procedures organizational policies and business needs.
IV. Autonomy & Decision Making:
The Systems Administrator exercises sound judgment and operates with a moderate degree of independence in administering enterprise technology systems resolving complex technical issues and implementing solutions that support secure reliable and efficient operations. The incumbent independently prioritizes work evaluates technical risks and recommends improvements within established Information Systems standards consulting management on matters with significant operational financial or organizational impact.
V. Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications:
a. Knowledge typically acquired through:
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience administering enterprise technology infrastructure in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Relevant technical training and certifications
b. Skills
- Enterprise Infrastructure & Server Administration
Strong experience administering enterprise server environments operating systems virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure. Experience with Microsoft technologies (such as Windows Server and Azure) is preferred.
- Identity and Access Management
Experience administering enterprise identity and access management solutions including user provisioning authentication authorization and lifecycle management. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) Active Directory or comparable platforms is preferred.
- Endpoint Management
Experience managing enterprise endpoint solutions including device provisioning configuration compliance software deployment and lifecycle management. Experience with Microsoft Intune or comparable endpoint management platforms is preferred.
- Information Security and Data Protection
Demonstrated knowledge of security governance and compliance principles including technologies used to protect organizational information. Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar information protection and compliance platforms is preferred.
- Enterprise Systems & Core IT Services
Experience supporting critical systems that enable secure reliable and continuous business operations including backup and recovery antivirus/endpoint protection communications (such as VoIP) and other core infrastructure services.
- AI and Automation Tools
Experience evaluating and leveraging automation and AI-enabled technologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance the user experience. Experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-enabled productivity tools is desirable.
