System Development Engineer, Data Center Availability Team

The Data Center Availability team works with the hundreds of AWS data centers around the globe to deliver the highest quality and lowest cost physical security availability capacity and scaling results for our customers. Our aim is to standardize operations globally by delivering tools policy processes and procedures to our internal teams.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.

Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
As a System Development Engineer you will:

Design software tools using advanced automation methods such as Agentic AI
* Work with business stakeholders to understand the opportunities to automate the manual work and streamline the process
* Develop and maintain software pipelines using best practices for smooth production code release.
* Suggest and implement best practices for coding design and operational excellence.
* Mentor engineers and develop them

- Experience in automating deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4 years of building scripts tooling and automation for large-scale computing environments experience

- Experience building services using AWS products

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
