System Administrator II HPC Prime Contract (Utah)

As a System Administrator on this program you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers HPC clusters and specialized processing environments. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

• Configure maintain and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software troubleshoot maintain integrity of and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide support for implementation troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems and storage.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client storage/network devices.
• Demonstrate superior communication contribute to team efficiency and work towards solutions
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning

Qualifications:

• Experience with Linux OS install file system configuration TCP/IP networking configuration operating system and application troubleshooting BASH scripting software compilation and install
• Technical storage experience
• Understanding of HPC architecture knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand Slingshot
• Familiarity with Jira Confluence Grafana Prometheus Nagios Slurm git Salt Ansible
• Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and theres no one fix for a particular problem
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum five (5) years of demonstratable system administration experience or ten (10) years minimum experience in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.
