Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Surgical Tech at CHI Williston Health now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health youll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We cant operate without you.
The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.
- Prepare & Maintain:Set up procedure rooms with all necessary instrumentation equipment and supplies.
- Sterile Expertise:Demonstrate mastery of sterile technique sterilization processes environmental controls and instrument decontamination.
- Team Support:Establish and maintain an organized sterile field ensuring all team members adhere to sterile environment protocols.
- Surgical Assistance:Assist surgeons by providing visualization of the surgical wound aiding with wound closure and applying sterile dressings.
- Anatomy & Instrumentation:Apply your knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical procedures and advance your understanding of instrumentation across various surgical services.
- Accuracy & Safety:Perform accurate sponge needle and instrument counts according to established procedures.
We are offering a $20000 Sign-On Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements
Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist Program
- Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists (CST/CSFA)
- Unlicensed Assistive Person: ND (UAP:ND)
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
