We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Assistant to support surgeons during operative procedures while ensuring safe efficient and high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong anatomical knowledge excellent technical skills and the ability to function effectively in fast-paced surgical environments.

Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by positioning patients and maintaining exposure of the operative site
Provide operative field visualization through retractors suctioning sponging tissue manipulation and irrigation
Assist with hemostasis techniques wound closure suturing skin stapling dressing application and securing drainage systems
Perform harvesting of veins radial arteries tendons bone skin and assist with plastic closure procedures under surgeon supervision
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control and operating room safety standards
Collaborate with surgeons nurses and surgical teams to support positive patient outcomes
Stay updated on surgical technologies specialty procedures and clinical best practices

Requirements:
Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting or completion of an accredited Surgical Assisting program required
Extensive knowledge of anatomy physiology and surgical procedures required
Strong eye-hand coordination and ability to stand for extended periods required
Excellent clinical judgment communication and teamwork skills required

Preferred:
Minimum 4 years of general surgical experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of specialty surgical experience preferred
