We are looking for:License Veterinary Technician- Surgery/Anesthesia

Schedule:Wednesday- Saturday 8a-6p

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment perfect fortechnicians that are looking for training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communicationskillstoliaison between surgeons and clients and deliverpost-operative careinstructions.

What youll do:

  • Manage appointmentsobtainpatienthistories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etc
  • Fill medications enter charges and maintain accurate medical records schedule appointments
  • Create patient releases navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations
  • Prep patientsfor surgery including shaving scrubbing and positioning assist with intubation and radiographs
  • Proficiently perform blooddrawsand submit bloodwork
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • Opening turning over and cleaning operating rooms as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs

Who are you:

  • State Registered Veterinary Technician licenserequired
  • Prior veterinary experience required previous surgery experience desired
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:

This position has an initial hiring range of $24.00 to $40.00 per hour based on skillset and experience. We support our weekend and overnight caregivers with lucrative shift differentials:

  • Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm base pay $2/hour
  • Hours worked between 12am to 7:59am base pay $3/hour
  • Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) base pay $1/hour any applicable differential
