We are looking for: Surgery and Anesthesia Veterinary Credentialed Technician
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 8a-6:30p
Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment perfect fortechnicians that are looking for training in multiplefacetsof the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requiresstrong communicationskillstoliaison between surgeons and clients and deliverpost-operative careinstructions.
Whatyoulldo:
- Manage appointmentsobtainpatienthistories medical record keeping invoicing patient dischargesetc
- Fill medications enter charges andmaintainaccuratemedical records schedule appointments
- Create patient releases navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations
- Prep patientsfor surgery including shavingscrubbingand positioningassistwith intubation and radiographs
- Proficiently perform blooddrawsandsubmitbloodwork
- Ensure documentation isaccurateand complete
- Opening turningoverand cleaning operating rooms as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs
Who are you:
- State Registered Veterinary Technician licenserequired
- Prior veterinary experiencerequiredprevioussurgeryexperience desired
- Proficientincalculations(drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
