Job Summary
You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
- You will review and revise supply determinations and decisions resulting from local HAZMAT stock replenishment with funding limitations.
- You will accomplish weekly reviews of stock data for never-out items.
- You will develop activity plans to identify actions responsibilities and schedules which must be met to ensure proper and timely support is provided.
- You will review and evaluate interim support measures and initiate corrective action in conjunction with supply procurement maintenance and personnel.
- You will compare data listed on documents with reference sources such as federal catalogs stock lists civilian publications and computer-generated data.
- You will attend meetings and briefings on the status of projects.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator License.
- This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour including nights weekends and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets gloves coveralls glasses goggles respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge of supply chain management regulations policies and procedures concerning hazardous materials. Examples of specialized experience include most or all of the following; 1) Following inventory management policies procedures and techniques for determining customer requirements stock positioning procurement or material disposition; 2) Utilizing knowledge of life cycle support concepts programs policies and/or procedures to ensure proper supply program support; 3) Reviewing data to determine HAZMAT availability through the reuse program or initiating actions to broker excess HAZMAT; 4) Conducting hazardous material assessments and inspections; 5) Updating HAZMAT databases and forecasting assessment schedules. or or

masters or equivalent graduate degree
