Network Design Planning & Engineering sits at the center of Amazons North American transportation strategy. We plan how packages flow from fulfillment centers to final delivery destinations balancing speed cost on-time accuracy and environmental impact. Our work directly shapes the delivery experience for hundreds of millions of customers.
Were looking for a Supply Chain Manager II who is excited about turning complex data into clear actionable this role youll build the network design plans along with the key metrics to drive improvements and detect opportunities that help our team and partners see whats happening across the network aiding better decision making. Youll work alongside experienced engineers scientists and product managers who will support your growth while giving you real ownership of meaningful work from day one.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders across product science and engineering to understand what questions the business needs answered then design and deliver the data solutions to answer them.
- Build detailed network design recommendations along with maintaining interactive AI dashboards/visualizations that track how the transportation network is performing.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into operational performance uncover root causes of issues and recommend improvements backed by data.
- Proactively look for ways to make existing reports and dashboards faster more accurate and easier to use.
- Analyze historical trends and key lessons learned from previous experiences to surface insights that support planning and forecasting decisions.
About the team
The Network Design Planning and Engineering (NDPE) team supports the connectivity and flow of Amazons transportation network through data-driven insights. We are a collaborative group of supply chain managers data scientists and data engineers who value curiosity knowledge sharing and building reliable scalable solutions. Our work directly impacts how millions of packages move through Amazons outbound network every day. We foster a learning-focused environment where team members grow through mentorship technical reviews and exposure to complex large-scale data challenges.
- 5 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 3 years of supply chain experience
- Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 5 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 5 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- 5 years of leading large complex programs experience
