Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and driven Supply Chain Analyst to join our Procurement & Supply Chain team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain this is a high-visibility role that will partner with Vessel Sales & Logistics FP&A Port Captains and the Purchasing team to help maintain a best-in-class logistics model across all brands within the family of eight operating Responsibilities:Fuel Procurement & Commodity ManagementDeeply engaged in all facets of the procurement cycle for the entire enterprises annual fuel and lube oil daily macroeconomic trends impacting the price of crude oil and its derivatives to execute favorable fuel pricing the value of fuel purchases by examining vessel capacity usage rates and fuel commodity Analysis & ReportingConduct pricing trend and cost analysis for corporate fuel food engine components company vehicles and service in the development and enhancement of Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports to support decision-making across the Procurement & Supply Chain comprehensive analysis for assigned projects and identify business and product trends. Use financial analysis to evaluate vendor the maintenance and accuracy of procurement and supply chain databases ensuring data to create monthly quarterly and annual budget variance analysis reporting packages as well as additional ad hoc reports and slide decks as needed for leadership & Strategic SupportWork closely with departmental leadership and the Vice President to define cost reduction objectives implement negotiation strategies identify solutions to meet/exceed business objectives and facilitate new/beneficial sourcing projects through the full project lifecycle while managing/mitigating purchase history to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize supplier analytical support during vendor contract negotiations and vendor performance including rebate tier progression and inventory reliability through regular supplier performance continuous improvement and cost reduction Intelligence & BenchmarkingMonitor industry trends competitive benchmarks and commodity markets to guide purchasing strategies across all internal tools to identify potential supply chain risks disruptions and opportunities and maintain market intelligence on key commodities and & Professional DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with colleagues vendors and suppliers across the on-call rotation ensuring coverage over holidays and travel to company offices vessels vendors shipyards terminals or industry conferences (<10%). Primary office locations include Paducah KY; New Orleans LA; Sulphur LA; Houston TX; and the greater Chicago IL duties as :Education & ExperienceBachelors degree in Finance Data Analytics Supply Chain Management Business or related field; OR 5 years of equivalent experience in analytics supply chain or knowledge of capital and futures (Energy/Ag/Livestock) markets preferred. Ability to recognize market refining and supply nuances that impact daily decisions. Can be developed on the knowledge of line-haul vessel operations and geographical marine areas is proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel and CompetenciesProven ability to make important policy planning and strategy decisions in a highly dynamic analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.A reliable detail-oriented results-driven team player. Comfortable being self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal customer service organization and communication skills.
