PacAeros core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the worlds most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee WA with a remote manufacturing site Bonded Metals located in Sequim WA. Working together we employ proprietary technologies best practices engineering and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the worlds most extreme environments. PacAeros products are hard at work in medical components such as cardiac-function devices on key aerospace & defense programs in space and deep below the earths surface.


The Position:

Job Summary

Supplier Quality Engineer supports and maintains supplier quality performance within an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment. The Supplier Quality Engineer will work closely with suppliers engineering purchasing and production teams to ensure all supplied materials and components meet quality regulatory and customer requirements. This position is responsible for supplier qualification auditing corrective actions continuous improvement initiatives and driving compliance with quality standards.


Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am to 3:30pm


Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities

  • Review and Improve supplier quality metrics nonconformance reports and incoming inspection results through innovative and collaborative initiatives.
  • Analyze supplier quality data and develop improvement plans to reduce defects and improve delivery performance.
  • Evaluate assess and monitor supplier quality performance to ensure compliance with internal regulatory and customer quality standards.
  • Review and approve supplier corrective actions and root cause investigations to ensure continuous improvement avoid non-conformances and prevent repeated non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve nonconforming material issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Work with supply chain team to evaluate existing and new suppliers provide recommendations as needed to add or remove suppliers from Approved Supplier List (ASL).
  • Conduct supplier audits assessments and qualification activities.
  • Ensure suppliers have and can maintain quality control plan.
  • Support incoming inspection activities and supplier-related quality documentation. This includes coordinating feedback and returns in support of Quality and Purchasing functions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering Purchasing Manufacturing and Quality teams to support production goals.
  • Participate in APQP FAI PPAP and risk management activities as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential:

  • Familiarity with inspection methods blueprint reading GD&T and quality tools.
  • Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems and aerospace requirements.
  • Experience with supplier audits root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Read write speak and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to retain information.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • Dependability: Follows instructions responds to management direction.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of supplier quality experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Manufacturing or related field preferred.

Work Environment

  • Office and Manufacturing Environment
  • Contaminants: May work with or around hazardous chemicals.
  • Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety.
  • Shift work: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm and be willing to adapt work schedule to company needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing/Sitting: Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools and performing precise measurements with a Microscope.
  • Precision and vision: Specific vision ability to have natural or corrected near distance acuity in at least one eye. Capable of passing the Jaeger Number 2 test and a color vision test.
