Job Description Summary
After attending course lectures the SI Leader will conduct and prepare for organized collaborative group study sessions on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills the ability to engage students enjoy the subject matter and have a passion for learning and applying new skills and strategies to enhance student learning.
Responsibilities
Attend lectures for target SI courses. Complete professional development activities Conduct weekly organized study sessions. Prepare for each session which may include hand-outs and worksheets. Record session attendance. Attend orientation monthly meetings and other meetings scheduled as needed. Complete all assignments/documentation required by TLC and Payroll on time. Meet with course faculty weekly. Conduct weekly office hours in the TLC Promote the SI Program and weekly sessions.
Required Qualifications
A GPA of 3.0 or better A grade of A or A- in the course (or equivalent course) for which you lead Faculty Recommendation Outstanding time management skills Ability to learn and apply new skills and strategies to enhance collaboration for student learning Promote the SI program and tutoring Ability to follow policy and procedures set by TLC and Chapman University Responsible and committed to those being served
