Job Summary
This position is located at the West Point Lake Frederick Outdoor Recreation Area.

- Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily weekly or longer basis.
- Plans work schedules approves or disapproves leave determines performance objectives and rates performance.
- Serves as a recreation assistant in support of recreational activities applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts to include mornings afternoons early evening weekdays weekends holidays.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a valid state drivers license.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Work experience in the administration of recreation activities such as: prepare activities calendars maintaining attendance records and provide information concerning schedules and activities issuance of authorized property and in the maintenance of inventory control.
This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
OR
2. Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelors degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in courses related to recreation or physical education in support of recreational activities.
The education/certification must be reflected on your resume and your degree/transcript/certification uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position.
In addition to the above qualifications candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered Highly Preferred or Best Qualified:
1. Minimum one (1) year experience in the Outdoor Hospitality Industry (recreational lodging campground operations resort management or a similar field).
AND
2. Experience and knowledge in determining or diagnosing facility maintenance issues.
The experience must be reflected on your resume at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

- Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Governments interest.
- This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
- Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
