Job Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code Title 10 as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with INSCOM Assistant Chief of Staff/G3 in Fort Belvoir Virginia.
- Serve as the Senior Civilian in the INSCOM Assistant Chief of Staff/G3-Operations Directorate.
- Provide technical and administrative supervision to subordinates in execution of operational personnel and position management responsibilities.
- Develop close liaisons with counterparts in government agencies.
- Provide management and oversight of operations.
- Represent INSCOM in interservice/interagency working groups meetings and committees and interact with high level officials within other agencies.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85 Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- This position is designated Tier 5 Special Sensitive High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
- This position is considered Non-Combat Essential (NCE) in support of the Armys mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increased tension and mobilization and could be assigned to any location worldwide.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

The Supervisory Development Course (SDC) must be completed within one year of placement into a supervisory position to include those with supervisory duties less than 25% of the position.
