Job Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code Title 10 as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with INSCOM Office of Assistant Chief of Staff G3 in Fort Belvoir Virginia.
- Serve as Deputy and Senior Civilian Advisor to the Assistant Chief of Staff G-3.
- Exercise operational oversight of the Command and in the determination of policy mission and operational requirements.
- Evaluate the technical effectiveness of all G-3 operations.
- Plan work to be accomplished interpret policy and procedures and establish priorities.
- Conduct major staff studies and review of operational plans and policies. Supervise preparation of final documents for the G-3 and Command Group approval.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85 Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- This position is designated Tier 5 Special Sensitive High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
