Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Terminal Supervisoris responsible forensuring efficient day-to-day operations of the Baker Truck Service transportationterminal. ï¼

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicate effectively and supportcustomerslogisticand order quotaneeds
  • Provide superior customer service to cross functional teams andmaintaineffective and strategic alignments
  • Create and enter truck patternstimelyto Ops Managerwhen a new delivery destination isââââââ
  • Work withIFGResiduals team to arrange shipment schedule of our residual products
  • Off-hour availability in support of operation
  • Oversee and supervise driver operations to ensure efficiency safety and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Dispatch trucks and driversutilizingSamsara
  • Track trucks and trailersto ensure efficientutilizationof equipment and drivers
  • Track loads and weightsworking with residual and payroll departments as needed
  • Scheduleloading of trailers at IFG mill facilitiesand all othercustomerload out sites
  • Coordinate maintenancewith warehouse supervisor and drivers
  • Schedule driver road tests
  • Work with HRand Ops Manageronrecruitment payroll and performance management
  • Arrange towing services for breakdowns
  • Coordinate withall drivers andcarriers to ensure all loads are acknowledged to maximize efficiency and on-time service
  • Work independently with minimal oversight
  • Promote and enforce all Baker/IFG policies and procedures
  • Other duties as needed.

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the transportation industry
  • ValidClass A CDL
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • Provenproficiencyin Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with collecting analyzing and reporting transportation data
  • Experience with shipping standards laws and requirements including international shipping
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass aDOTdrugtestpost-offer pre-employmentphysical and background check

PREFFEREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with an ELD
  • Previoussupervisory experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Production

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift reach with hands and arms stoop squat bend at the waist kneel walk varying distance and climb stairs.

  • Bend at waist frequent

  • Lift above waist height frequent depending on machine center
  • Lift over 50 lbs. frequent depending on machine center
  • Repetitive use of hands constant
  • Stand/walk constant
  • Sit occasional
  • Vision near and far correctable; depth perception
  • Hearing preferred for awareness of surrounding machinery mobile equipment emergencies

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to tolerate all weather elements loud conditions airborne particles (sawdust).
