Founded in 1976 Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services advanced medical technology and a comfortable convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utahs growing population we opened a brand-new 16000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus which is convenient for patients in Ogden Roy and other neighborhoods west of I-15 currently offers emergency care radiology mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Air Force Base you can enjoy quick access to Ogden Salt Lake City Antelope Island State Park hiking biking and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for.
As our Security Supervisor you will plan schedule and supervise comprehensive security efforts to protect patients associates visitors hospital buildings assets and premises.
Every day you will schedule and supervise security response drills reporting on their outcomes. You are responsible for the Environment of Care Chapter 2 Security requirements as mandated by the Joint Commission. You will coordinate the development and implementation of hospital-wide safety programs alongside safety and training programs for corporate and outlying locations and manage the overall Security function.
To be successful you will possess strong leadership skills a deep understanding of security protocols and regulatory compliance (especially Joint Commission EOC standards) and the ability to effectively plan implement and report on security initiatives.
- Manages day-to-day activities of Security Department and ensures standards of practice are met within policies and procedures.
- Supervises and serves as a direct reporting structure for all security officers.
- Coordinates Security Officer and associate training with officers and/or direct leadership.
- Develops and conducts formal training programs for the hospital and the department covering a variety of areas associated with staff safety facility environment emergency response and new programs or regulations.
- Develops and maintains schedule for Security officers.
- Organizes agenda and leads staff meetings to facilitate staff development and education.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience in hospital security or law enforcement operations
- Knowledge of TJC accreditation policies practices management and regulatory law
- Demonstrated knowledge of security-related training as well as local state and federal safety regulations
- Direct leadership experience
- Familiar with self-defense training and facilitation
- Familiar with Life Safety Codes
Preferred
- Associates in Criminal Justice or related field
- Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice business or hospital administration or equivalency
- Experience in hospital environment
- Security certification
