Full-Time; 40 Hours per Week (Monday-Friday) Generally no holidays or weekends; however occasional coverage may be required to maintain adequate departmental staffing.

• Collaborates with Supervisor RN-Medical to oversee IP / ED staff including evaluations corrective actions hiring rounding and frontline staff support.
• Oversee scheduling for ED infusion and inpatient departments.
• Conduct nursing chart reviews to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Coordinate student nurse placements and clinical experiences.
• Oversee hiring and onboarding for ED infusion and inpatient staff.
• Coordinate nursing meetings including agenda development and meeting minutes.
• Monitor and support CQI initiatives for ED infusion and inpatient departments.
• Organize education and conduct mock codes to support clinical readiness.
• Develop update and maintain policies and procedures for ED infusion and inpatient departments.
• Monitor compliance with Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
• Maintain DIAL and EMTALA logs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide PRN patient care coverage in ED infusion inpatient and as backup support in surgery.
• Provide backup support for UR and discharge planning in collaboration with the Supervisor RN-Medical.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current RN License in the State of Iowa required.
• Maintain Current ACLS PALS TNCC and BLS Certifications

Knowledge Skills Abilities and Other:

• Possess adequate computer knowledge and strong organizational skills.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Serves as a working manager maintaining competency across all levels of care to step in and assist as needed.
• Must be able to read write and speak English.
