Job Summary
CNC Manufacturing Supervisors-in-Training are responsible for overseeing production in one or more assigned departments. Supervisors-in-Training are responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of manufacturing employees and for compliance and enforcement of safety & environmental programs and other Company policies and procedures. Supervisors-in-Training are responsible for the selection and performance management of assigned staff and to ensure the manufacturing process operates smoothly and efficiently to meet quality and scheduling requirements. Supervisors-in-Training train new employees and may perform direct labor associated with positions in the assigned department(s).Essential FunctionsTo accomplish this job an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. communicates regularly via phone email and in-person with employees across all levelsVerifies equipment is operating correctly and safely; performs basic troubleshooting and may perform maintenance or submit work orders as appropriateMaintains a clean organized safe work areaUtilizes tape measure mics calipers and other gauges to accurately interpret part measurements and visually asses and inspect partsDrives motor vehicle as requiredInterviews applicants and selects qualified personnel for available roles on the team; complies with regulations and internal processes for recruiting selection and recordkeepingRegular attendance on-site at the workplace is requiredOperates machines/equipment as neededRequired Education and Work ExperienceA high school diploma or GED equivalent is requiredVocational training in a manufacturing/technical field or a Bachelors degree in engineering business or other related field of study is advantageous but not requiredMinimum of three (3) years experience in aerospace manufacturing to include direct labor work similar to that completed by the assigned department(s)Industry and technical knowledge representative of the work performed by assigned department(s) is requiredComprehension of the AS9100 Quality System is requiredSupervisory experience is preferred; lead experience and advanced supervisory training may be considered in lieu of direct supervision experienceOther Required Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement programs is preferredProfessional verbal and written communication skills (English)Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Excel PowerPoint and WordERP experience is required;
