Job Summary
Vallecitos Elementary School District is a single-school TK8 district serving the unincorporated community of Rainbow CA. The Superintendent/Principal serves as chief executive officer of the District and educational leader of Vallecitos Elementary School reporting directly to the Board of Trustees. The position provides overall direction and accountability for District and school programs operations and personnel. Responsibilities may be carried out through assigned administrators coordinators faculty staff and contractors consistent with Board policy and law.
This position requires the following qualifications and experience:
- Valid CA Administrative Services Credential
- Masters degree and successful experience in school administration and instructional leadership; district-level leadership personnel supervision budget oversight and collective bargaining experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
Vallecitos School District is a small rural school district in northern San Diego County committed to its vision of being a community school where students learn to achieve their dreams. Founded in 1885 Vallecitos Elementary School is the Districts primary school and serves students in grades K8 in a traditional school setting in the community of Rainbow. The school community reflects the diversity of the region with an enrollment of approximately 66% Hispanic 31% White 2% Asian and 1% American Indian students.
