Job Summary
The Town of Middlefield Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a qualified Health Supervisor to support the health and safety of participants in the Towns Summer Youth Camp program.
The Health Supervisor provides on-site medical oversight during camp hours and is responsible for first aid response medication administration health documentation and camper wellness. The position works closely with the Camp Director and camp staff to promote a safe healthy and supportive camp environment.
In addition to medical responsibilities the Health Supervisor may contribute to camp programming through activities related to health wellness and outdoor safety.
Minimum QualificationsApplicants must meet one of the following medical credential pathways:Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) ORCertified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with current youth camp medication administration trainingAdditional requirements:Current CPR and First Aid certificationPrevious experience serving as a camp health supervisor is requiredExperience providing medical care to children or youthStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situationsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in youth camps schools or recreation programsExperience administering medications in youth program settingsExperience developing health procedures or training camp staffInterest in leading health and wellness activities for children
