Success Coach (Karen)

Position Information:

• Albert Lea High School
• Providingsupport through verbal and written translations or interpretations.
• Work with school staff to identify areas of concern and work with parents and students toaddress those may involve home visits at times that are convenient for the family.
• Work with parents and students regarding school engagement issues motivation or otherbarriers to success.
• Maywork with outside agencies to provide information about needed support for parents andstudents both here and as needed in the collaborative.
• Work week will be approximately 35hours per weekMonday ï½ Friday with exact schedule and tasksdetermined by district student needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in Karen Language
• Must be proficient in locally spoken English language.
• No license is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 60 semester credits/AA/AS degree or college graduation preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Experience interpreting or translating school information is preferred.

Pay Information:

• $20/hr-$26//hr (Depending on Experience)
