Substrate Assembly Technician 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Reports to: Substrate Assembly Supervisor
Cooperates with: Fabrication Welding Coating
Schedule: This position will be training on 1st shift for the first few weeks then moving to a 2nd shift schedule
Primary Responsibility: Production of foil substrates using automated and manual machinery.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup & form all catalyst substrates on all fabrication machines.
- Operate & troubleshoot all substrate fabrication equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Prepare raw materials to be used by welders.
- Accurately interpret and implement Work Orders/Production Data Sheets.
- Ability to lead Substrate Assembly Department in the absence of supervisor.
- Measure & assess product to comply with QC specifications.
- Accurately record quality control data on raw materials subassemblies and finished products.
- Load operate & troubleshoot Oxidation furnaces.
- Understands all product quality and customer specifications.
- Demonstrate proper selection/use PPE for Substrate Assembly department.
- Material handling and transporting of raw materials assembly kits and product.
- Perform accurate Inventory Counts and record transactions.
- Work on assigned R&D product/process enhancement projects and equipment upgrades.
- QC raw materials & vendor items.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 years experience in a metal fabrication environment with metal working experience.
- Working knowledge of running industrial equipment.
- Experience with CNC machinery.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Candidates with PLC programming experience will receive greater consideration for the position.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Forklift certification (preferred).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
