THIS POSITION WILL DRIVE REGULAR CARS AND POSSIBLY THE SMALL PUP BUS- NO FULL SIZE BUSES. IT CAN BE DONE WITH A REGULAR OREGON DRIVERS LICENSE. WE WILL TRAIN YOU.

Under general supervision the Substitute Type 10 & 20 (Small/Regular Vehicle) Driver operates school district vehicles to transport children to and from school and related activities in a safe timely and economical manner. Duties assigned to employee include but are not limited to cleaning of vehicles and inspecting the vehicle to insure safe operation. Safety and welfare of the students is always the top priority. The school bus driver reports to the Transportation Supervisor.

We also have opportunities for substituting in buildings as classroom assistants if you are subbing in other departments.***

Qualifications:

• District will provide training: Valid ODE Type 10/20 Driver Certification not required to get startedDistrict will provide training.
• Valid Oregon Driver License
• Holds or is able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification-District will provide training.
• Ability and desire to work with children
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively
• Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employees expense is Required once hired
