Substitute Teacher School Year

The Oxnard Union High School District is seeking qualified and dedicated Substitute Teachers to support student learning by providing instructional continuity in the regular classroom teachers absence. Substitute Teachers serve an important role in maintaining a safe positive and productive learning environment while implementing lesson plans and classroom are available throughout the districts comprehensive and alternative high schools on an as-needed basis.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CREDENTIAL AND NEED TO APPLY FOR A 30-DAY SUBSTITUTE TEACHER PERMIT COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING LINK TO YOUR BROWSER: Sub Permits are to be renewed annually. ***If you have not completed the Sub-Clearinghouse Live Scan through VCOE you can schedule an appointment through their website you do not have a copy of your Sub-Clearinghouse Live Scan receipt please attach a Word document with the date you completed the Sub-Clearinghouse Live Scan and our office will verify your clearance. ***PLEASE NOTE THE CERTIFICATE OF CLEARANCE FROM CTC DOES NOT SATISFY THE SUB-CLEARINGHOUSE LIVE SCAN REQUIREMENT***With the passage of SB 153 the Basic Skills Requirement is no longer required effective 7/1/24.
