About the position:Adelanto Elementary School District is seeking dependable flexible and student-centered individuals to serve as substitute teachers throughout our district. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining continuity of instruction and providing a safe positive and productive learning environment for may be available across our K8 schools and may include general education and special education responsibilities:Follow the lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom a safe respectful and positive classroom appropriate instruction and supervision to student learning and classroom professionally with school staff and district policies procedures and expectations for student any required documentation related to the assignment.
Minimum qualificationsApplicants must meet one of the following: Possess a valid California teaching credential or Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit; or Be eligible to obtain an appropriate California substitute teaching permit.Applicants who do not currently hold a permit or credential may be considered based on district needs and applicable California Commission on Teacher Credentialing requirements.Desired qualifications:Experience working with school-age classroom management to follow lesson plans and maintain classroom and communication and interpersonal to work independently and adapt to different classroom settings.For a complete EDJOIN application the following items will need to be uploaded to your application: Current resume Copy of a valid California teaching credential or substitute teaching permit (Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit for Prospective Teachers) Unofficial transcripts if applicable for applicants seeking assistance with obtaining a substitute teaching permit.Please note that all required documents must be uploaded directly to your EDJOIN application. Compensation and employment information:Daily Rate: $250 per Type: Part-time Year: 2026/2027 school are based on district needs and substitute -term assignments may be available and are subject to district requirements and approval.Important information:Successful candidates must complete the districts required hiring and onboarding process which may include fingerprinting verification of credentials or permits and other employment requirements.District Fingerprinting is required at time of employment and the cost is $32.00.
