Job Summary
The Substitute Paraeducator - Alternative Education assists classroom teacher(s) in the instruction supervision and training of individual or groups of studentsinvolved in Juvenile Court School Programs and to perform a variety of related duties in the maintenance of an effective learning environment for students.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAny combination equivalent to:Education: Candidates must meet one of the three Options:Option 1: Possession of a high school diploma or its GED equivalent Option 2: At least 48 college semester units earned at an accredited institution of higher learningOption 3: Possession of a degree earned at an accredited institution of higher learningPlease note: If you were educated outside of the US you must have your foreign transcripts evaluated by an approved agency. The evaluated summary must state you have completed high school and if applicable any college degrees held. For a list of approved agencies click here .Experience: One year of paid or volunteer experience working with at-risk youth in an educational setting preferred.
