SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT-SPED-SDC-Extensive Support Needs
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal assists a certificated teacher and other certificated personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students with a range of physical emotional intellectual and/or communication disabilities in a Special Day classroom (SDC) or other learning environment; assists with the establishment and maintenance of appropriate classroom and site behavior; assists in the preparation of instructional materials lesson plans and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs); assists students with performing and developing academic social behavioral personal hygiene and self-help skills; and performs routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.
Education and Experience: of a high school diploma or its equivalent; least 48 college semester units earned at an institution of higher learning; of a degree earned at an institution of higher learning; orc.a passing score of 70% or higher on the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Paraprofessional of District-assigned additional training related to the Special Education year of experience working with children in an educational or learning : must be willing and able to assist students with toileting; change diapers and soiled clothing as needed.
